A year of stories 45/52

5x5-framenew

In keeping with the theme of places I love to hang out, this week’s story is about my neighborhood.
When you are done reading our story, don’t forget to follow the circle, starting with the talented Meredith Rockefeller.

I say we live in Mayberry, but it’s probably more part Little Rascals / part Desperate Housewives (and not because we are scandalous, but because we are interesting, hilarious, and diverse).

Other than the people (which I will get to in a minute), these porches are my favorite part of living on this block.
The breeze, the windows to the awesome neighborhood, the magic light that dances through the trees across the street as kids laugh and play in the background.
Life doesn’t get much better than this porch.

I probably would just live on the porch, but there’s those people out there,
those awesome neighbors with fantastic kids!

I love that we can throw together impromptu kickball games,
kbonthequad
parachute sessions,

parachute
Super Moon watch parties (one neighbor mentioned the moon and the next thing you know,
the entire gang is out there waiting together!),

moon3
or just impromptu park play dates.

A friend is just a doorbell away,

and then these little minds are off creating games and worlds that the adults can’t even follow,

onward
creating chalk masterpieces that brighten our days,

rainbowchallk
and, best of all, just hanging out,
being kids.

We move A LOT, and we never know what world we are stepping into.
We hit the jackpot here & I wouldn’t mind just moving in permanently.

Meredith - These are great! I know a lot of it has been through other social media platforms, but I have enjoyed seeing your kids adjusting to their new neighborhood and friends. You capture it so well!
