A year of stories 30/52

5x5 frame7

Today was school registration day.

We had seen the school from the outside and it did look gigantic, but nothing prepared us for the inside!

H couldn’t stop looking up at the ceilings, saying things like, “this looks like a museum!”

Registration snapped us into the reality that earlier wake up times are on the horizon.

Our 11:00 sleep time and 10:00 wake ups need to change as soon as possible.

The plan?  Tire the kids out at the “American Ninja Warrior” park up the street from our house.

They take the course very seriously and concentration & effort are in full effect.

Sometimes I can get a quick break in the seriousness that is Ninja Warrior training ;-),

but then they are right back to the task at hand.

This face fooled me for a moment, convinced me we had worn them out!

But, no, still a bundle of energy on the walk home (and awake right now as I type this blog post at 10:54 pm).

After you read our story, follow the circle, starting with the talented Allison Gipson!

Tess Runion - Wow, that is a fancy school!!! It is definitely a big adjustment when summer ends! Wait until they’re tweens! UGH! Love the playground shots! Miss those days with my kids!

Sonja Stich - Your posts always make me smile, Meg. You have a gift with photography and writing. I love all the different perspectives in the playground images. We also have one of these net structures and I with the time struggle with finding interesting perspectives. I really like the one from below with the shallow depth of field.

Renee Gravelle Bonuccelli - Lol. That is one serious school!!! But how awesome for photos?! Love the color and architecture! I just love love love your perspective of looking up at them climbing. And the creative use of dof. So so good.
