A year of stories 25/52

5x5 framenew

To celebrate our final weekend in PA, we headed to the DRIVE IN to see Finding Dory!

Since we are the only people left in our apartment block, we pulled our car right up to the stoop to load up.
Since no dogs are allowed and it’s not the 1970s, this is not how we traveled to the movie,
but I think all three of them wished we could.

When we arrived, they got right to the most important part of a drive in movie — the popcorn.

Since you have to arrive well before dusk to get a spot, we had some time to pass.

The kids had a blast climbing these rocks in front of the screen.
This doesn’t seem like the safest way for kids to pass the time, but maybe this is part of the drive in nostalgia ;-).

While Dad and Brother headed to the snack bar line for hot dogs, we headed to the park.

Then it was back to the car to wait for the movie and eat even more popcorn.

Oh my!

By the time the previews finally started, this was the situation.  I was a little worried about them making it through the feature.

When it finally started, they perked up and stayed awake the entire time!
We did have two sleeping bundles as we pulled into our apartment, but lots of requests the next morning to DO IT AGAIN!

Don’t forget to follow the circle, starting with wordsmith and photographer, Carey Pace.

Carey Pace - We went to a drive in back in TN several times and the kids LOVED it. So glad you will have this memory to look back on for your time in PA. Loved the popcorn cramming shot of your lady. And I think all kids should have the opporutnity to climb and conquer rock mountains!
