A year of stories 11/52

5x5 frame7

Saturday morning, we set out on a DC road trip with plans to introduce our kids to all of the monuments and to see the cherry blossoms  About 45 minutes into the trip, it started snowing/sleeting and it looked like the weather was similar in DC.  Our next exit was Frederick, MD, so we broke out Google and searched, “things to do with kids in Frederick.”  There weren’t many promising options, but it did list an arts education center, The Delaplaine Arts Center, that showcased local artists.  We figured, if nothing else, maybe we could pick up a piece of local art. We walked into their annual Arts Carnival, complete with art activities, face painting and a huge student art exhibit.  It ended up being the best detour we could have discovered!

After you check out our week, continue through the circle, starting with my very talented friend, Renee Bonuccelli.
