Guitar strumming, good ole’ Texas scenery, and young love. Does it really get any better? Okay, so it could have been a little warmer (we get a little spoiled here in Texas with our 70 degree February afternoons).
I remember the first day I met Nick. He had just turned eight and his parents, new friends of ours at that time, had bought him a video camera for his birthday. An eight year old with a video camera? Isn’t that a little young? That’s what I thought … at first. Then they showed us some of the videos he had shot already. These parents knew what they were doing, encouraging the natural talent of a boy who clearly had a gift.
Fast forward 10 years and he is still making movies (and music). He’ll join Rio (ah, beautiful Rio! I could photograph her all day!) at UT next Fall to prepare for a life of creating art. These two were so fun to shoot, willing to do all the silly things I asked of them even though they were freezing! I just kept promising, “it will be worth it – I will produce some great shots for you guys!” I hope you both agree that it was worth it (maybe SO worth it that you will even let me drag you out again some day!).
Some of my favorite shots from the day…
